Happy Papa and Mama's Day

My beloved mama with her mother's day flowers (8/5/11) and my cute papa with his birthday cake (3/5/11)

Despite what happened for the past few weeks, I am glad that this two special occasions finally bring our family together again.

Parents played important roles in our life. When we were young, they can do everything for us. When we grow up and they are old, can we do anything that is right for them? They never complained when we made a big fuss out of anything during our younger days but when they grow older, we kept complaining and not thinking what they did for us last time.

Do recall back the memorable moments with our parents and love our parents.

Papa and mama I love you. :-*

Q stands for ?

After one whole week of hectic week, I was glad that it's weekend. Today is the beautiful Saturday. I want to sleep til mid-day but... ...

Noises outside my door wake me up from my dreams. It's them again. It's only April but I think they've been QUARRELLING and ARGUING for more than 10-20 times! Usually, I might go out and be the mediator but this time I decided just to stay in the room. After a few minutes, I heard crying and doors banging and silence outside. But I am very tired so I choose to continue to dream until 11am.

What I don't understand is when two loving couple that decided to tied a knot and vow to be with each other until the end of their life can end up quarrelling almost every week. Don't they forget how they appreciate the presence of each other when they start seeing each other?

I am actually feeling envy that they found each other. Unlike people like us, who are still searching and looking for a life partner and might be facing the fate that we will be alone when we're old or at the end of our life.

But nothing much that I can do or say to improve the situation. Just hope everything will just turn out fine later.

my dictionary for now.... Q for QUARRELING.... :(

Complicated relationships

I'm not going to talk about complicated relationship like LOVE but simply FRIENDSHIP..

Since young, I admit that I am a very talkative girl who can mix with people around me quite well. I've been to 2 kindergardens, 3 primary schools, 4 secondary schools,1 college and a uni. From these experiences, I get to know a lot of friends in and out of my life. I've been thinking when I treat people truly from my heart, people will treat me the same too. But I guess I was wrong.

Well, I'm the person who treat friends truly and hope friendship will last. But this week, I broke down two times with different friends who didn't treat me back the same I treat them before. But I really want to thank them for opening my small tiny eyes wide open as well as my heart and I'm starting to let go. Now I realise over-caring will lead to busy-bodyness to others. People might find you very annoying when you care for them especially we're not the friend that they might want to get close with.

Anyway, it's time for me NOT to be STUPID and kept caring for others, anxiously waiting for people's reply whenever I care for them using messages via internet or sms. It's time for me to start to ignore people who always ignore me. I don't want to do it but I'm forced to do so. I'm sorting out friends in my life into a few categories. Friends that are worth it and friends that are just friends. In the end, I found out there're only two or three friends that will be in the first category. Sad feelings rushing into me but that's the fact that I will need to accept it.

Time to remind myself.. "Abby Tiong Sing Wei! Time to wake up and be smarter! Hope you'll not be called STUPID anymore!"

Friendships and love both will not last unless you can find that special ones who think the same way as you do.

~Time to say goodbye to the old STUPID me and be a smarter person who is not KE PO(busy body in chinese) anymore!~

More than just WORDS

Words can be wonderful when you speak it well.
Words can be beautiful when you use it nicely.
Words can even save the world when we use it correctly.
But what I am ashamed of is nowadays, people use words to attack among peoples!

From my recent post, I'm currently working in a school with all educated colleagues around me. Like what I say, educated, educated! Educated people are the one who we should be afraid of! They know how to use words, twist words and make fake facts to real! I was so surprised when I was told but I was even more shocked when I experienced it!!!

I was told people like to gossip around. Well, that I understand as sometimes I did it too. :P But if it's only around your peers then it's still acceptable. But the thing is when people kept spreading it around and gossip out of their peer group, and you're the main character in that gossip, furthermore they know you're around but they still keep talking about it as if you are transparent!

I was angry, sad, disappointed but as a newbie in the new working environment, there's nothing much I can do but to endure, endure and endure! But I was grateful as I know whatever happens, I know my true friends are there for me. Like what they told me, don't care about what they said, as long as we know we're not guilty.

Gossip is a fearful thing.

After nearly two years...

I've finally come back to my blog after i left it for nearly two years... :P My sis was looking at my blog and said my blog had been deserted for so long so i was thinking of activating it back. :)

Let me refresh what happened in this two years...

1) KPLI ( Kursus Perguruan Lepasan Ijazah) - Diploma of Education

I was in Seremban for KPLI's course for a year. That year is memorable with all the tears of laughters and pain. But what I miss the most are the kids i met during my practical at SJKC Chung Hua Mantin, Negeri Sembilan. Aren't they adorable??

Besides that, let me intro my buddies that i've met during KPLI. :)
~ Kai Hern, Foo Wah, Me and Win Nie
( We're the group of 1985! ~youngest in our class~:D)

~ in IPRM's batik :)
.
2) My new working era - SJKC KC1

After a year has passed, on 16th of August 2011, I've finally started my journey of working life as a permanent government worker at SJKC Kuen Cheng(1), around 3km away from KL Central. I was grateful that I've been posted back to KL and I can stay with my family but the thing is KC1 is around 15 km away from my house when there're around 5 primary schools around my housing area here. But like what my mum told me, whatever happens, it must be good. :) And it was truly good as I get to know a bunch of true friends here too. :)

These are my new bunch of friends that i only started to get close since early this year. We might only know each other for a few months, but we truly know the bondage of friendship between us is so strong that we couldn't even believe it ourselves. :)

From left: Kai Liang, Wei Leong, Tong Chiew, Cui Mei, me and Li Yee :)

2.1 Courses courses courses!!!

I've also always been sent for courses esp in English and Malay language courses as my school desperately need more teachers to teach eng and bm(eventho my option was chinese language). In the beginning,
I was a bit reluctant to go because I won't be able to teach my students for nearly a month! But I always remember the quote from my mum " Whatever happens, it must be good", and truly, I was grateful that I joined both the courses! I get to know a lot of other school teachers and learned a lot of things about these two main subjects! Will upload more about these courses after it is over in May. :)
Meanwhile, if you're my friend, you can log on to my fb and hav a look of the pic of what we've done during the course.

3) Cousin Su Ti's wedding

Before I end this post, I just wana congratulate my dearie cousin Su Ti for her wedding! I couldn't believe the cousin that I've been playing with is already ppl's wife! Posting some pic here as the end of this post. :D

It's been a while.... ....

It's really been a long long while since i updated this blog. Let me flash back from where i stop....

Last December...
~My laptop's motherboard died. Even the techinician advised me to get a new laptop as it's not worth it to get a motherboard as it cost nearly 1K. So i din get to online for quite some months.
~went to ipoh to hang out with darling. quite fun and spent my xmas with darling's family. :)

This year(2009) January...
~Went back to the original school to become contract teacher. nothing much but more workloads compared than last year as lack of teachers.
~Went back to Kuching for cny. nothing much tho... just normal cny lo..

April...
~ Been transfered to secondary school..SMK Taman Setiawangsa cos CKS recruited more contract teachers. At first, i was a bit fed up with all these transfering and fake excuses for sending me and kang ning away from CKS. But after staying in SMKTSW for quite sometimes, i love the environment and my colleagues there eventho there're all malays.

June..
~Went to darling's hometown again. :)
~After Mtest and interview for KPLI, finally, i'm in KPLI. taking chinese studies. After waving goodbye to all my colleagues from SMKTSW and my family, i head off to Seremban.

Now...

My current good friend

Uphamol 650 had been a great friend to me throughout the sleepless night and unbearable pain. Thanks to the growing of wisdom tooth i've been depending on this good friend of mine. If not i'll be crying, shouting over the pain of my gum.

It might lead to bad side effect in the future but i need my sleep now! Please wisdom tooth, faster grow, i beg you....!

Wisdom tooth fever

I just finish my 5 days 4 nights seminar in UKM! Yeah! So finally i'm back in my home. Home sweet home. But thanks to my wisdom tooth, i had a week of sleepless night but really wana thank my partner for being there for me throughout the week. She helped to lift my cheek up when i was in great pain, helped me buy paracetamol, ice compression and a lot more! Really made me so touched and really grateful for her for being for me throughout the week.

Anyway overall from the seminar, it's mainly about appreciating our parents and elders. Some sessions are kinda fun but some are pretty dull and i reli fell asleep a few times. :P But now

Just a few photos here about the seminar.

As for now, i'll be resting at home and hopefully my teeth, gum and the wisdom tooth will not ache anymore! :)

5 days seminar!!!!!

I'll be attending a 5 days seminar starting tomoro! It'll start on coming MOnday til Friday and it'll be conducted form 8am til 9.30pm! It's specially for chinese school teachers and some parents from chinese school. I was 'honoured' to be asked to go with some of the teachers in my school and it was fully paid by the school. I was kinda shocked when i receive the letter from the school to ask me to go. But luckily some of my close colleagues are going too. Furthermore, it's in UKM, my previous Uni! And esp my friends and my partner is around there too! So i'm not really looking forward for the 8am-9.30pm time everyday but looking forward to the time out of that range where i can go and look for my friends! So it's not really a bad news for me after all!

Some intro about the seminar i'm going....

Introduction of Di Zi Gui

"The Chinese culture has been deeply influenced by Confucius, a great Chinese teacher and educator. His influence extends throughout the world even today. Confucius believed that moral principles, virtues and discipline should be the very first lessons taught to a child, and that children need to practice them daily. Unlike modern-day parents who disapprove of physical punishment, ancient Chinese parents actually encouraged and thanked the teacher when their children were punished for misbehaving. It was most important to the ancient Chinese parents that their children learned moral principles and virtues first – before any other subjects, because without these as a foundation, the learning of all other subjects would be futile. In ancient China, the purpose of going to school and studying was to prepare for becoming saints and sages, not to pave the way for fame or making a profit.

Di Zi Gui, in English, means standards for being a good student and child. It is the guide to a happy life. For thousand of years, this book contained the recommended standards for students. Even though they seem stringent by today’s standards, it is apparent that the people of that time felt it was important that the child should be well-disciplined and taught moral principles and virtues when still very young. They felt that without strict discipline and moral standards, a child would amount to nothing. Not knowing what it meant to be dutiful to parents and respectful to teachers, a child would grow up not listening to or respecting anyone. Ironically today many parents listen to the child instead of the other way around. Additionally, teachers are afraid to teach and discipline children because they are fearful of violating the children’s legal rights and being sued by the parents.

Currently, we live in a tumultuous world where the relationships among people, between people and their environment, parents and children, husbands and wives, and employers and employees are disintegrating. Parents do not act like parents. Children do not act like children. Our minds are polluted and our family system is disintegrating, as evidenced by an ever increasing divorce rate. Soon the planet Earth will no longer be fir for us to live on. We are fearful for our futures and the futures of our children. In reintroducing this boos, we hope it will serve as reference material and provide guidance for parents and children. Thus, future generations will benefit from it and society and our world will be at peace."

So....
Wish me all the best and hope i learn something from this seminar.

Holiday! Celebrate!

Heya! I'm currently on a holiday! one and a half months! Thanks to school holidays that i get to hav holidays too! That's the good things about being a teacher! The first weekend of my holiday, i've been to the berjaya hills, or was known as bukit tinggi. It's located near Genting highland. I never heard of it before til i saw my friend's photos in facebook. Since it's reachable by car, so me and my partner went there by my cute little proton car.

So we went to the rabbit farm as it's the nearest. The entrance fee is only RM3. The rabbits there were so cute! Chubby and just simply cute! You can carry it and touch it but bear in mind, it's not easy to hold a bunny. And never hold their ears or else you will kena from them. haha! There's instructions teaching us how to hold a bunny correctly. We had quite a fun time there not forgetting there're also deer park and ponny trails for kids. We took photos with the deers and pony too. The workers there gave us some foods so that we can feed the deers. It was a very exciting experience feeding them. :)

It's not easy as it seems to be to hold a bunny! and not forgetting to cover it's private part. :P

Feeding the deers and with the cute ponny(donkey?)

Next, we head to the Japanese Village. The slope to Japanese Village was kinda steep. I've been using the 1st and 2nd gear only. When i reach there, my car's water was boiling!(duno how to say, it's near the engine there) My fault as i din check my water level before i go. So for those who's going, remember to check ur car. Luckily i hav some water in my car that i can refill the water. While waiting for my car to cool down, we head to the botanical Garden. It was a nice place! When we wanted to take photo with the botanical garden information board, there's a japanese or korean couple offer to help us take. Very kind of them. But we actuali brought tripod so it's kinda useful for us. :) It's cooling and there're a lot of flowers and plants in the botanical Garden. Plants lovers will love to be here and not forgetting photographers who like to take nice plants photos.

Japanese Village

After leaving the botanical Garden, we head to japanese village which is just side by side. It's very nice with the nice waterfall and ancient hut. There's a place that we din get to go unless we rent a kimono which cost RM20. My partner wasn't so interested in kimono wearing so we just walked around the japanese village.

Next, our journey continues.

We head to Colmar Tropicale a.k.a the French Village. It was really kinda impressive! We dun feel like we are in Malaysia when we're in the French Street! Very cool and nice building built. More buildings are being built so we only get to walk in a street. Very cool and the 3 storeys-tower had lift so we no need to climb up the stairs. We can get to c the whole French Village on top of the tower. It's cool! Very cool! Oh ya, not forgetting there're two pairs of white and black swan just underneath the bridge to Colmar Tropicale. They are so elegent esp the white ones. But the black one quite nice too!

Here we present the Colmar Tropicale

A shot from the 3 storeys-tower

My partner with the black swan. :)

We head back to town as the weather doesn't seems to be nice. We had a lot of fun there especially taking photos! If u want to go somewhere for a walk or take nice photos, Bukit Tinggi a.k.a Berjaya Hills is a nice choice. You can stay overnight at the Colmar Tropicale's hotels and resort too. We might go and have a visit again when the new French Village is done. :) In conclusion, we had fun! :)
